Sacred Fire is a Santana tribute band composed entirely of professional musicians living and working in Denver. Established in November of 2024, band leader Ed Contreras' desire was to pay tribute to the band that inspired him to be a musician and to share the music which has already blessed millions of listeners since Woodstock in 1969.
A Denver native, Ed Contreras has been playing World drums, drum kit, and percussion for over 50 years. His music covers everything from folk, jazz, rock, blues, country, and bluegrass to African, Flamenco, Brazilian, Eastern European and Middle Eastern styles. Contreras teaches at Swallow Hill Music in Denver and has found it to be the perfect place to educate folks about the power and spirituality of music. He loves the outdoors, especially the Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah wilderness.
